How far to the lifts?
We’re within 5 minutes walking/skating distance of the Wildcat base area. Ski back to the chalet via the Westward Ho! ski run or down the pleasant trail from the Wildcat Lift, or take the free Alta Bypass shuttle which stops 75 ft from the door.
My kids snowboard. How far is Snowbird?
They can catch the Alta Bypass Shuttle that runs continuously in the morning from 8:30 – 11:00 and in the afternoon from 3:00 - 5:00 or they can be driven to the Tram Plaza, about 5 minutes.

The Chalet telephone number is 801.742.2272 but there is no answering machine so we recommend you direct calls to your cellular phone.
Do you take credit cards?
No. We accept personal checks, wire transfers or payments via PayPal.
Do I need a car? Do I need 4-wheel drive or snow tires? What about other forms of transportation?
You may not need a car if you take advantage of the grocery stocking service and walk or use the Alta shuttle to get to the lifts. Transportation is available from the Salt Lake International Airport via Canyon Transportation at 1-800-255-1841.
By law, snow tires or chains are required on all vehicles entering the canyon from November 1st to May 1st. During heavy snowstorms the canyon may be restricted to 4WD or chains only.
Can I bring my pet?
NO pets are allowed in the canyon or in lodges by county ordinance. Exceptions are made by permit for assistance dogs and residents only.
Is there parking for my rental car?
We have parking for up to three cars.

What’s your cancellation policy?
If you cancel prior to your final payment due date, you will be refunded your deposit minus a $100 handling fee. If you cancel within 60 days of arrival, 90% of your payment will be refunded if the week is rebooked, 25% if not.
Can I book a long weekend?
We may have availability during the low season. Call for details.
